Deir el-Bahari and The Temple of Hatshepsut from the Theban path, Luxor, Egypt, 2008

Color photograph taken from above on the Theban path of the Valley of Deir el-Bahari and the The Temple of Hatshepsut, Luxor, Egypt, 2008. This complex of mortuary temples, otherwise known as The Northern Monastery, is located on the West bank of the Nile river and includes the mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, who was the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. A footpath leading from the Valley of the Kings to Deir el-Bahari gives a splendid overlook of the geographical placement of these complexes. Ancient Thebes with its Necropolis is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Program since 1979.
