Decorated Muslim tomb of Iltutmish, Qutub Minar Complex, Delhi, India

The Qutub Minar Complex, or Qutb Complex, in Mehrauli is composed of over 40 monuments and buildings, the best-known of which is the Qutb Minar which was built to honor the Sufi saint Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki. The Minar was added upon by his successor Iltutmish (or Altamash), and much later by Firoz Shah Tughlaq, a Sultan of Delhi. The tomb of Iltutmish, the second Sultan of Delhi (r. 1211–1236 AD), was built in 1235 CE and has since lost its dome. The complex, restored gradually by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
