Color photograph of the Crouching Venus sculpture at the Louvre Museum, Paris, France, 2011. This sculpture is a Hellenistic model of Venus bathing that appears to have been a popular subject, considering the quantity of copies that were excavated in Italy and France. Surprised in the act of bathing, Venus crouches down with her knee close to the ground and reaches her right arm over her left should to cover herself.
